ignition coil ground wire

Whats the correct way to install the ignition coils ground wire. And if you don't put it back correctly will it causing any harm?

It grounds to the head. Just make sure its grounded.

I know one end is grounded to the cover then the other end is grounded to the ignition coil. My question is what comes first (the ignition coils side) Ground wire then Ignition coils or opposite?

Honestly I made jumper wires that attach to each coil and then over to a body ground....only way i stopped my missfires.

Passenger side...

I don't have a pic of my driver side ground. Maybe Topaz has that one.
Thanks James, It looks like the order is 1.) Ignition coils, 2.) Ground wire and then 3.) nut.
would anything change if you do Ground wire first then the ignition coils then the nut?

As thin as the connector for the ground wire is, I wouldn't think it'd matter, but I like to button things up the way I find them. Personally, I'd do it in this order so the bremi plug seats down on the plug as snug as possible.
The online TIS shows the ground wire in the same config.

Elecrtically its the same.
Mechanically, like he said it might not fit tight on the plug.

Interesting you mention that. I've had an almost undetectable hiccup at idle. It comes and goes with no rhyme or reason that I can think of. I'm going to check the grounds to make sure their snug and intact.

should be connected like that already. thats y only one has the ground. perhaps your coilpack harness is failing.

You have 2 different setups. I guess both of them are the correct way?

The ground wire goes on top of the ignition coil housing. The order of install is: coil, wire, nut.
FWIW here is what I do on the OBD1 engines

You guys could easily make brackets to do the same thing.
here you go - from a recent coil pack replacement DIY
Be careful tighten the coil pak fastners the valve cover threads holding the stud is prone to fail. The upper studs can be lenghten and a nut placed under, not to much choice on the lowers pack with liquid metal. Good luck
